Julia is 15 months old!

Julia had her 15 month appointment today with Dr. C.

She is 20 lbs 14 oz (25th), 31 inches long (60th), and has an 18 in head (25th).

"Tall" and "thin"... ha, ha, according to the doc, "model material".

GREAT. HA!

Julia is hitting her milestones well enough so no concerns there!

I thought she had FOUR molars... nope, she has EIGHT so that means she has SIXTEEN teeth now! WOW!!! She is working on her canines now too.

That's all for now... poor baby had three shots today and went straight down for a nap when we got home. Mom is off to drink a cup of coffee and do some work for the day!

Later!

Cousin Fun

Hannah, one of Julia's cousins, was here visiting this last week with Grandma (my mom).  They had quite a bit of fun together... here are some pictures!

Cool Off!

A while ago Adam taught Julia how to blow on her food. Tonight I was feeding her a little dinner, and I would blow on it to cool it down before feeding it to her. As I would put it to her mouth, I would ask her to blow on it, and she would before eating it. So cute!

Slip Slidin' Away...

Adam and Julia had fun playing one night this last week... Julia kept trying to "run" away from Julia and Adam kept sliding her back to him... she thought it was hilarious!

It's been entirely too long...

I haven't posted... anything... in a few weeks.

We have continued to deal with a series of colds and the flu even... Saturday night was our first experience with Baby Vomiting and it was Not Fun. It didn't help that I was up from about midnight until 6 am and then had to be at church by 7:30 am for service (GEMS Sunday).

Anyway... so, we have been spending much of our time taking care of the little one, taking care of ourselves, and trying to get the little one back on a regular sleeping schedule since illnesses always seem to knock her off of them.

She still loves to play, though! And, lately, she is practicing walking... but only when she feels like it! Valentine's Day was by far her biggest "walking day" with two 4-ft jaunts and then bits and pieces of walking here and there throughout the day.

Julia acquired a kitchen in January and loves it. Her cousin Hannah (with my mom) is visiting this week and Julia introduced Hannah to the kitchen straight away and they spend much of their time playing there. They also enjoy chatting in the car, at dinner table (Hannah has an uncanny ability to be able to understand anything Julia says and to translate it for us -- I need her here all the time!), and while they are playing. Even though Hannah is 1.5 years older than Julia, they are still playing together wonderfully.

Julia is saying a few words now -- Dada; Mama; Bye Bye; Hi, Da!; and 'llo! (for Hello!) when she is talking on the phone. Tonight was really cute -- she said "Bye bye!" and waved to Hannah when it was time to go to bed. She also still LOVES kittens and cats and has a very distinct noise she makes that I can only deduce to be a meow. (No, we will not be getting a cat any time soon as Adam is allergic to them.)

I will have more next week to write as Julia has her 15-month appointment and you know how I love to report her stats. :)

Have a good night!

Julia can walk...

... she simply chooses not to most of the time.

Apparently, though, it is VERY fun to carry one's potty chair (no, we are not training -- it is simply a toy right now) around the living room.
