Bath Time Fun!
Julia isn't a big fan of getting a bath anymore because she's too big to have her hair washed under the sink and now I just dump water over her head. (She's getting more used to it.) During a particular bath recently, I couldn't help but want to put a mohawk in her hair. :) TOO CUTE!

Memorial Weekend Fun!
Over Memorial Day weekend, our whole (the three of us) family visited Wisconsin.
On Saturday the 24th, we traveled to Wisconsin. We stopped at a brewpub in Mineral Point, WI, and enjoyed some tasty food and a few beers.

Then we traveled on to New Glarus. Adam wanted to see the new brewery, which isn't open yet, and then we stopped at the old brewery and spent a little money at the gift shop in beer and other paraphenelia we cannot purchase in Iowa.
We visited with friends as we celebrated with Patti and Donny... they will be getting married in August in Idaho. So... this was an engagement / pre-wedding party, and it was great to see so many friends and new babies of friends!
Sunday we went to a graduation party and saw more of Adam's family, and then we spent the evening 'camping' (but not overnight) out at Dan & Claire's land. There was a great thunderstorm, and this was Julia's first real experience outside at night with a campfire, etc.

Monday we spent the entire day driving home. It is a trek anymore with a baby, but still worth the visit!

I want my (M)TV!
Julia has become a bit of a Drama Queen lately when attempting to take things away from her. Here is a video that Adam captured when she had gotten a hold of one of the remotes and he went to take it away from her. Too funny!

A few new pictures!
I have all sorts of updating to get done, so I'll begin!
Julia is 6 1/2 months old... WOOHOO! She is doing really well and had a great 6 month appointment. She is a little peanut, though:
Weight: 14 lbs 1 oz
Height: 26 inches
Head: 16 inches
She did really well with her shots, and with continued chiropractor visits, she seems to be doing really well and hasn't had any illnesses lately.
Julia started daycare last Wednesday and I am now working two days a week. Today is Day #2 and so far so good!
Here are a few pictures from this last weekend:

I will upload more pictures later!

Pella Tulip Time!
Hello!
Tulip Time was held here in Pella the weekend of May 1 - 3, 2008.
Adam's parents, Ron & Marcia, along with brother Alex and his girlfriend Miriam, visited that weekend.
Here are pictures from the weekend. It was rather chilly the first couple of days, but by Sunday it was gorgeous and sunny. Julia and I enjoyed a walk and some pictures with the tulips.
Hanging with Buscha...

Daddy is a lot of fun!

I like to play piano with Grandpa.

Hanging out at home...

Hey... like my shades?

Julia is 5 months old!
Hi, all!
Julia turned five months old this last Thursday. It is amazing how quickly she is changing and growing. Adam and I were looking at pictures from a few months ago, and it's amazing how different she looks... and of course, her personality is developing and she is mentally and physically changing at an alarming rate! WOW!
Here are some newer pictures of her... our cute little girl!
Julia has a few friends...
Luke...

Nile...

and... Adam. (Adam is the son of Stephenie who I met online.)

Julia is my cute little prairie girl in her spring bonnet.

Where did Julia go?

Hanging out in her Sunday best...

Hanging out in her cute whale pajamas...

Mom, am I REALLY having a bad hair day? Doesn't my hair ALWAYS look like this?

Cool! A block!

Daddy is #1!

Smiley girl...

Hmm... five months old today. Who would have thunk?

I'm mommy's little peanut!

Here... take a picture of my foot!

Enjoy!

Omaha!
We traveled to Omaha this weekend to visit with friends... Jill & David, T & Jeff (& kids), and Angela & Dan... we had a great time!
We arrived Friday night just in time for pizza and breadsticks (and for Julia to go to bed). We didn't stay up too late Friday night... just a bit of chattering, a few drinks, and then off to bed.
Saturday we went to the SAC (Strategic Air Command) museum and also went for a drive through a animal habitat on a 'safari'. It was really neat to see animals like buffalo and pronghorn, which we don't see much 'round these parts.
Last night, then, we went to Dundee Dell, a restaurant Adam suggested for dinner, for good fish & chips and beer. Then after a quick stop at Beertopia (just me, Adam, and Julia), we celebrated Jeff's birthday a few days late with a Black Forest and Bailey's Irish cakes... YUM!
We had a wonderful time with our friends this weekend, and thanks to a great nap by Julia, we made good time getting home today.
Here are some pictures from our weekend.
Waking up in Omaha... (apparently, when you sleep in Omaha, you must turn your body 90 degrees while you sleep... at least, that is what Julia seems to think... this is the THIRD time I caught her stuck in her pack and play sideways during the night... one of those times I HAD to take a picture...)

Big quilt/flag

Hi, mom! I love the SAC museum!

Hmm... that is a BIG airplane!

Lafe (T & Jeff's son) and Julia

I'm SOOOOO tired out!
