We traveled to Omaha this weekend to visit with friends... Jill & David, T & Jeff (& kids), and Angela & Dan... we had a great time!
We arrived Friday night just in time for pizza and breadsticks (and for Julia to go to bed). We didn't stay up too late Friday night... just a bit of chattering, a few drinks, and then off to bed.
Saturday we went to the SAC (Strategic Air Command) museum and also went for a drive through a animal habitat on a 'safari'. It was really neat to see animals like buffalo and pronghorn, which we don't see much 'round these parts.
Last night, then, we went to Dundee Dell, a restaurant Adam suggested for dinner, for good fish & chips and beer. Then after a quick stop at Beertopia (just me, Adam, and Julia), we celebrated Jeff's birthday a few days late with a Black Forest and Bailey's Irish cakes... YUM!
We had a wonderful time with our friends this weekend, and thanks to a great nap by Julia, we made good time getting home today.
Here are some pictures from our weekend.
Waking up in Omaha... (apparently, when you sleep in Omaha, you must turn your body 90 degrees while you sleep... at least, that is what Julia seems to think... this is the THIRD time I caught her stuck in her pack and play sideways during the night... one of those times I HAD to take a picture...)
